Here creating content is one thing, but it’s vital to create a Blog platform that leverages all the benefits that comes with Content Marketing.
Here is a list that we researched to build a proper site architecture for blogs, we have categorized in as 8 most important elements for creating a blog site:
#1 Need of a Content Management System (CMS): As for content goes, there must be a provision to allow non-technical editors and stakeholders to add content easily. A CMS platform that has all the easiness like using a Microsoft Word Document, with integrated function to add images and videos is just the way to go. After the initial publications, editors can always correct their initial publications. And if you are to integrate a blog site without CMS, then you need to web designer to create a blog page every time, adjust the URL structure, work on site bars everytime, redesign the styles if you don’t like, once approved host it, and if you are to revise a content then carry similar process again and again. Just go a good CMS platform like WordPress, Joomla or Druplal.
#2 Permanent Links (Permalink): Okay, Confusing. I know! Let me keep it very simple. Every blog site works in this way – you post a new blog, it gets reflected in the top of your blog listings by default, on your home page, in category tags that you have created, thereby making your blog post a stand-alone page. As more posts are added, the home page and category pages change to reflect the URL structure of you newly created blog posts. Permalinks allows the blog owners to create a search engine friendly URL structure which is always recorded for the upcoming blog posts you create. It’s just like creating and maintaining a book shelf at your home. Always make you have enabled Permalinks settings in your CMS system.
#3 Creating Categories and Calendar: Have you have a left or the right column listed with segments of article categories in any top blog sites. There are called categories. When a blog post is assigned to a category, or a multiple of categories, the post will not only show on the main page of the blog but also on the category pages. Moreover, when a month passes, all the blogs are archived in the calendar which creates an imposing list over time.
#4 Using Internal Links: There is no way you could have missed a good blog with internal links. Internal links are vital for users to look for more relevancy with the same blog content, moreover internals are very to influence Google/Bing bots from a Search Engine stand point. But do not flood your blogs with internal links, rather make sure that it giving one will help the reader gain more insight about the content.
#5 Adding Comments: Comments create a valuable contribution to create a conversation. And it is an important to influence your readers, and clarify more about the subject. Every CMS system has the provision to assign a “No-Follow” parameter for blog comments. Even though you will have the right to approve comments, we strongly recommend you to enable the “No-Follow” option.
#6 Integrating Social Share Icons: To leverage the power of Social Media on to your blog site, integrating social icons is a must. At the beginning of your content marketing phase, do not feel disappointed that no one shares your content. But irrespective of who shares or not, you never know when you are writing a viral content. You CMS platform should come with plugins than can you can easily any social media share icons with your blog.
#7 Adding Widgets: Widgets allow you to add functionality to specific areas of your blog to add advertising, related content links and other navigation links. This can benefit to you as an Editor, or it can help the reader find more relevancy to the content. The best part about the widgets is the fact that it has a simple drag and drop interface with all the necessary codes to present your add-ons in a portable format.

We have not concentrated much on listing with Yahoo! But all content should get listed on top search engines (like Google, Yahoo, Bing..), but for engines that support native languages like Baidu and Naver – it won’t get listed.
To listed on Yahoo News! follow Yahoo’s webmaster guidelines and submit your website to Yahoo. And you should be good to go!/
